Moonshadows in Malibu has been on our LA bucket list for years and we finally got a chance to visit last Sunday. It was well worth the wait! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with incredible ocean views from every seat. We sat inside right next to a window and it felt like we could reach out and touch the Ocean waves. They also have 2 outdoor seating areas and we will sit there next time. Food was also delicious. We had oysters for apps, Maine Lobster Roll, Black miso cod and petite filet mignon. Cocktails were amazing as well and very pic worthy to go along with the shots of the ocean views. Can't wait to go back!

The best views and service by far the only bad thing I can say about this place is my steak lack flavor. But the view of the ocean makes up for that..lol

The food was incredible and our server Robert was a great help ! The beautiful views of the ocean are hard to beat.

Beautiful place and really good food. I went with my family for my birthday and everyone was really nice, our server Camila was really friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and worth every penny.

Luckily we had the best seat in the restaurant with an amazing ocean view. The service was friendly and the food was great. The ambiance made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

My first time at Moonshadows! I've been wanting to try this place for so long and glad I finally got the chance to. The view was beautiful and we got to see a couple of dolphins swimming around as well. Such a cute restaurant and there's so seats near the bar where you are basically over the water but those are first come first serve. Our server was Leigh and she was amazing! One of the best servers I've ever had, she was so attentive and funny and sweet and always right on top of everything. The bussers, food runners, the manager and hosts were also wonderful and friendly and we just had a pleasant experience for our friend's birthday. For appetizers we ordered the tuna tartare, calamari, oysters and clam chowder. And they also give you complimentary bread. Everything was delicious but I have to say the calamari was my fave out of the appetizers. For the entrees my friends had the boullabaisse, the pork chops and I had the pumpkin tortellini which I added the shrimp to. Our other friend had the crab and lobster linguini but I didn't get a picture of that by accident. Everyone seemed to really like their meals! The pumpkin tortellini was definitely something unexpected and I really enjoyed it as well. We brought a cake for her birthday and were already splitting at the seams lol so we didnt order dessert (although my friend raves about the creme brûlée). by the way there is a $20 cake fee which we didn't mind paying bc everyone was so amazing but they also did cut slices for all of us and served it to us on their nice plates. You could try to find parking but it might take you a bit on the stretch of pch since it's limited so I would just valet if I were you (the valet only does cash btw) But thank you so much moonshadows for your hospitality and wonderful experience, my friend had a great birthday!

It was all very good. The food, the ambiance, the view abs the staff. BUT we did feel a bit deceived. We specifically asked if the soup and salad were small (aka starter size) and we were told they were. My granddaughter order her starter salad and In ordered my starter chowder and we got FULL size salads and bowl of chowder as if that was our meal... so by the time we got our main dish we couldn't eat it because we were so full . So, although food was good we didn't need to order two full meals for each of us and pay for a dinner for four when there were only two of us. Needless to say we had no room for desert and we ended up taking our main dishes home as left-overs. Tip: share a meal or don't order a starter unless you are very hungry. lol! Valet parking is available and the views are spectacular!

This was my 2nd time eating at Moonshadows and again, it did not disappoint! We made a reservation; but needed to move up the time after coming from the Malibu Hike and they were able to accommodate us with ease. Upon arrival we were set right away. We were a party of party of 5 and had a beautiful view of the ocean. We ordered a variety of plates from the sea bass to the filet. Everyone was happy with their meal, except my friend that ordered the filet. It did look a bit dry; but again...this is a seafood spot, not a steakhouse. Depending on your seating location, the sun may be in your face; but if you're solar-powered like myself...it's perfect. Parking is Valet ONLY, so prepare for that! There is no lot and PCH is nuts so drive cautiously. I would definitely return
